About US
Functional Family Solutions came about through many years of experience working with children and their families. We recognised there was a need for supporting parents in understanding child development and behaviour. We desire to help families become the best that they can be!
As behaviour support and parenting coach, my ultimate goal is to help parents form lasting, meaningful relationships with their children, and investigate behaviours of concern. Equipped with the right skills and knowledge, parents can understand what thier child needs in order to become happy, confident, autonomous problem solvers, resulting in a well-functioning family unit! This service will help any parent cope with the demands of raising children and provide a framework for compassionate, effective behaviour guidance techniques.
Functional Family Solutions offers one-to-one parent coaching through a positive behaviour support lens. We support all families, and all neurotypes! These session are offered face-to-face from our office in Bundaberg, or online via a zoom session. This can be funded through an NDIS plan.
We also offer an educator support service for teachers, schools and early learning centres who are seeking support for behaviours of concern. Many of the traditional rewards and consequence based behaviour interventions in the classroom environment are not effective for children. The support and training I offer are once again from a positive behaviour support lens, with a focus on meeting the underlying drivers of behaviour, and teaching explicit skills.
